Berlin, April 29th, 2019 – With the expansion of the management board, NBT makes the grade to the success and growth of the company at management level. Since its foundation in 2016, the management now reflects the increased workload as well as additional topics and creates the necessary structures to act sustainably and growth-oriented at all levels. With the specialization of the areas of responsibility, NBT also remains flexible and agile for the greater challenges of the future in the implementation of new business models – a requirement in the digitalized world.

"In order to achieve even faster sustainable growth, we need a broadly based management team of specialists. The new management team is in line with our vision: We want to shape the digital future of Germany and Europe. This puts us on the right track," says founder and CEO Harald Zapp.

CTO Jasmin Skenderi brings technology expertise to the table

Graduate engineer Jasmin Skenderi is a passionate technology expert with 15 years of experience in the development of hardware, firmware and software systems. As CTO at NBT, Skenderi leads the planning and strategy of end-to-end product and technology development for NBT and the companies in the portfolio. He relies on a team of professionals and hands-on mentoring. "NBT understands that complex and promising technology stacks require appropriate knowledge to develop successful business models. The newly created board position confirms the importance of these promising technologies," says CTO Jasmin Skenderi.

CFO Christoph Brück optimizes processes

Successful growth goes hand in hand with increasing organisational expenditure. In order to orient the development of NBT sustainably for the future, Christoph Brück is now part of the company. As CFO, the trained lawyer will set the course for the areas of law, operations, HR and finance. With his experience in founding young companies, he has the best qualification for being a successful company builder. "NBT sets high aims for technological innovations through innovative business models. In order to achieve these goals, the organizational processes must be optimally structured. I am looking forward to helping drive the success of NBT from now on," says CFO Christoph Brück.

IoT visionary Harald Zapp leads NBT as CEO

NBT CEO Harald Zapp has more than 25 years of experience in the tech industry. In the course of his career, the 56-year-old was one of the driving forces behind the IoT segment in Germany, including the position of Head of Marketing at Cisco in Germany. In 2013 he was part of the founding team of relayr, a company that networks industrial plants with so-called retrofit kits and turns classic mechanical engineering salespeople into sought-after service providers. In September 2018 relayr was sold to Munich Re for 300 million dollars, making it the most successful exit in Germany.
