German Government Awards Next Big Thing AG 'Digital Hub Status' for IoT

GERMANY'S FEDERAL MINISTRY FOR ECONOMIC AFFAIRS AND ENERGY, AWARDS NEXT BIG THING AG 'DIGITAL HUB STATUS' IN THE FIELD OF INTERNET OF THINGS.

Berlin's thriving startup scene births some 40,000 startups annually, and has unquestionably become one of the leading digital hubs in the world, attracting entrepreneurs and startups from across the globe with it's relatively low startup costs and quality of life. In response to this, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy has appointed the city to host one of its twelve digital hubs in Germany.

With Berlin's hub set to focus on Internet of Things & Fintech, Next Big Thing AG has been selected to represent IoT for Germany in being awarded 'Digital Hub Status'. Partnering with Factory and the Berlin Center for Digital Transformation, NBT expects this newly acquired status to accelerate its growth on the world stage as a key player for innovations in IoT - creating a portal, through which exciting IoT innovations can be birthed, and nurtured into the great ventures of the future.

About the Digital Hub Initiative:

The Digital Hub Initiative, developed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, seeks to support the establishment of digital hubs in Germany. The underlying idea of establishing hubs is that cooperation between companies and business start-ups within a confined area will boost innovation, especially in the digital age.
