When it comes to digitalization and tech in Germany, the public focus is always on Berlin and its startup scene.
When you think about the German economy as a whole, digital change is everywhere. Industries are changing, jobs are changing, consumers are changing. This has an effect on both corporates and the hidden champions in the German economy, who have been the global market leaders for decades. These successful companies also face the challenges of digitisation, even though they are separate from the urban tech scenes in Berlin, Hamburg or Munich.
What does it take for a country to get the whole economy on the right track towards digitalization? What can politics do to give the economy a framework? How can SMEs be innovative and gain access to digital ecosystems? How can startups and investors act as multipliers and driving forces in this process?
These questions and many more will be discussed on stage with representatives from politics, investors, startups and corporates - hosted by the Digital Hub Initiative of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs.
